Future Plans

Finishing up my last year of high school, I look forward to seeing what the future holds. In the beginning, I had no path or desire to pursue anything that would make me successful. I didn’t care about showing up, doing my work, or building connections. Now I see the importance of all of these and hope to approach opportunities  with intention, commitment, and a desire to grow. 

I have been searching for quite a while now for things that would interest me for a long term career. I am going to choose something that is actively engaging and doesn't have me sitting all day. I need to use my hands daily to keep myself sane; so something that involves that would be good. I don't think I would ever consider being a full time artist as I think mixing your hobby with work is a bad idea. 

Schools I am interested in are Cal Poly Humbodlt Cal Poly SLO, CSUMB and Cabrillo. I am interested in attending these schools because I like the programs and classes that they offer there, they sound like they would work well with the way that I learn. I would like to pursue a degree in business and entrepreneurship. A degree in this field would set me up for success in many different ways. In the end, I would ultimately like to own my own business of sorts, no matter what it is. To do that, it would be important to have the skills and knowledge gained through a degree in business and entrepreneurship. I will attend Cabrillo in the fall until I get all my general education done and from there I will choose a school to attend and pursue business.
